Day 01

Arrival in Luang Prabang

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, enjoy a warm welcome in the former capital of the Lan Xang Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for the beauty of its temples.
Transfer with a French-speaking guide and driver to your hotel for check-in.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 02

Luang Prabang – City Tour – Pak Ou Caves – Ban Xang Khong Village (B/L)

After breakfast, begin your exploration of the city’s spiritual and architectural treasures. First, visit Wat Sene, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang, revered for its historical significance and peaceful atmosphere. It offers a glimpse into the rich and enduring Buddhist heritage of Laos. Continue to the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, often considered the jewel of Luang Prabang’s temples. This iconic site is renowned for its exceptional architecture and refined details. One of its most remarkable features is the stunning “Tree of Life” mosaic, crafted from colored glass. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, board a traditional boat for a relaxing cruise along the Mekong River to one of Luang Prabang’s most important spiritual and cultural sites: the Pak Ou Caves. Upon arrival at the Pak Ou Caves, you will discover hundreds of Buddha statues of various sizes, materials, and postures, placed by devotees as offerings. From small finely carved figurines to larger impressive statues, these relics fill every corner of the caves. On the way back, stop at the riverside village of Ban Xang Khong, renowned for its skilled artisans and traditional craftsmanship. You will have the opportunity to observe local weavers working on ancient wooden looms, creating beautiful patterns on silk and cotton. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 03

Luang Prabang – Almsgiving Ceremony – City Tour – Kuang Si Falls – Mount Phousi – Night Market (B/L)

Early morning departure to witness the daily almsgiving ceremony, where monks dressed in saffron robes walk in procession to receive offerings. This tradition is unique to Laos, the only Buddhist country where this ritual is still widely preserved. Continue with a visit to the morning market to observe local food products. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace Museum, located in the former Royal Palace. This historic site houses a refined collection of artifacts that elegantly illustrate the richness and diversity of Lao culture through the ages. The visit provides deeper insight into the country’s history, traditions, and royal heritage.

Continue to Heuan Chan Heritage House, a traditional house listed as part of Luang Prabang’s heritage, offering an immersive glimpse into local daily life. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart for about a one-hour drive to one of the most spectacular natural sites of Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Falls. A walk through the national park will lead you to the waterfalls, passing by the Asian Bear Rescue Center. For the more adventurous, it is possible to climb to the top of the main waterfall. Swimming is possible in the natural pools, although the water can be quite cool between November and January.

After visiting Kuang Si, return to the city and climb up Mount Phousi, an iconic site offering panoramic views over Luang Prabang and the surrounding countryside. The climb is rewarded with a spectacular view, especially at sunset, when the golden light creates a magical atmosphere over the city and the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 04

Luang Prabang – Express Train to Vang Vieng – Blue Lagoon 3 – Phapoungkham Cave – Nam Song River Boat Ride (B/L)

After breakfast, free time until transfer to the railway station for the express train to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival, transfer to Blue Lagoon 3, a peaceful natural oasis surrounded by limestone mountains, ideal for relaxing, swimming in its crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the serene setting. Continue with a visit to Phapoungkham Cave and its viewpoint, offering a beautiful panorama over the surrounding countryside.

Then enjoy a boat ride on the Nam Song River, where you can admire spectacular landscapes, karst formations, and take stunning photos of the mountains and rural scenery. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 05

Vang Vieng – Local Market – Wat That – Tham Chang Cave – Express Train to Vientiane (B/L)

After breakfast, visit the local market of Vang Vieng, where you can discover a wide variety of products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, snacks, clothing, and other local goods.

Then visit Wat That, the most important temple in Vang Vieng, known for its peaceful atmosphere, elegant prayer hall, and historic stupa. You will learn more about local spiritual traditions and daily religious life.

Continue to Tham Chang (Jang) Cave, one of the most significant caves in Vang Vieng, which also serves as a temporary shelter for local farmers cultivating nearby vegetable fields. You will see clear water flowing from the mountain into the river, along with charming views of villages and rice paddies.

After the visits, transfer by road to Vientiane, the peaceful capital of Laos, known for its riverside charm, colonial architecture, and major cultural and religious landmarks.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy free time to relax. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 06

Vientiane City Tour – Buddha Park (B/L)

In the morning, visit Wat Si Muang, famous for its spiritual and supernatural significance. Then depart for Buddha Park, a fascinating collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures located along the banks of the Mekong River, near the Friendship Bridge.

The site features around 200 religious statues, some over 500 years old, created by a mysterious monk to express his philosophy of life and vision of the universe.

In the afternoon, discover the city’s main landmarks, including Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, known for its thousands of small Buddha statues, and Wat Phra Kaew, once famous for housing the Emerald Buddha.

Continue to the national symbol of Laos, the majestic sacred stupa Pha That Luang, with a photo stop at Patuxai, often referred to as the “Laotian Arc de Triomphe.” A beautiful sunset over the Mekong River will conclude the day. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 07

Vientiane – Departure (B) – Without guide

After breakfast, free time until transfer by driver (without guide) to the airport for your departure flight.
